# Kiwi for Plane

Have the agent on a Kiwi step update its Plane work item, comment its result and log its time, through Plane's MCP server.

- Your agent works in Plane through its own connection. Kiwi does not call Plane and never holds its credentials.
- A workflow skill can list Plane among the tools it requires. When you supply your agent's available tools to a skill check and Plane is not among them, the check reports `SK15-UNSUPPORTED-TOOL`.
- A project Admin can add links to Plane, with notes, under Connections and bind them to the steps that use them. The agent reads them with `list_connections`.
- The agent can report the tools and plugins it ran with, including its Plane connection, with `report_configuration`.
- The agent submits links to its work in Plane as the step's outputs. People review them, and sign-off stays with the people your workflow names.

## What your agent can do in Plane

- Create, update and search work items, filtering them with Plane Query Language.
- Comment on a work item, add links, relate it to other work items and nest it under a parent.
- Log the time spent on a work item.
- Plan cycles, modules and milestones, and list the work items in a cycle or module.
- Connect headless agents with a personal access token at https://mcp.plane.so/http/api-key/mcp.

## Set up

### 1. Connect your agent to Kiwi

Add Kiwi's hosted MCP server, `https://kiwiflow.io/mcp`, to your coding agent.

- [Coding agents](https://kiwiflow.io/integrations#agent)
- [Quickstart](https://docs.kiwiflow.io/quickstart#connect-your-agent)

### 2. Connect your agent to Plane

Add the Plane MCP server to your agent with this URL. The credentials stay with your agent.

```
https://mcp.plane.so/http/mcp
```

- [Plane documentation](https://developers.plane.so/dev-tools/mcp-server)

### 3. Example skill

Publish instructions like these as a workflow skill that lists Plane among its required tools.

```
Read the Plane work item ID and project from the assignment inputs.
Comment on the work item when you start and when you finish.
Link the pull request to the work item and log the time you spent.
Submit the work item URL and the pull request link as the step's outputs.
The project admin decides any change to its cycles or modules.
If Plane rejects a request, call report_blocker with the error message.
```
