Kiwi

Kiwi for Postman

Have the agent on a Kiwi step update Postman collections, specifications and environments for an API change through Postman's remote MCP server.

  • Your agent works in Postman through its own connection. Kiwi does not call Postman and never holds its credentials.
  • A workflow skill can list Postman among the tools it requires. When you supply your agent's available tools to a skill check and Postman is not among them, the check reports SK15-UNSUPPORTED-TOOL.
  • A project Admin can add links to Postman, with notes, under Connections and bind them to the steps that use them. The agent reads them with list_connections.
  • The agent can report the tools and plugins it ran with, including its Postman connection, with report_configuration.
  • The agent submits links to its work in Postman as the step's outputs. People review them, and sign-off stays with the people your workflow names.

What your agent can do in Postman

  • Find and read the workspaces, collections and environments that cover an API.
  • Create and update collections, requests and environments.
  • Create and update API specifications, and generate a collection or a specification from code.
  • Create mock servers and monitors for a collection.

Set up

  1. Connect your agent to Kiwi

Add Kiwi's hosted MCP server, https://kiwiflow.io/mcp, to your coding agent.

  2. Connect your agent to Postman

Add the Postman MCP server to your agent with this URL. The credentials stay with your agent.

    https://mcp.postman.com/mcp
  3. Example skill

Publish instructions like these as a workflow skill that lists Postman among its required tools.

Start from the API change and the Postman workspace in the assignment.
Update the matching collection requests and examples for the change.
Add or rename environment variables to match the new endpoints.
Submit the links to the updated collection and environment as outputs.
If the workspace is not reachable, stop and report a blocker to the step
owner; the assigned reviewer checks the collection before it is shared.
