Kiwi

Kiwi for Asana

Have the agent on a Kiwi step read its Asana task and add follow-up tasks to the project, through Asana's MCP server.

  • Your agent works in Asana through its own connection. Kiwi does not call Asana and never holds its credentials.
  • A workflow skill can list Asana among the tools it requires. When you supply your agent's available tools to a skill check and Asana is not among them, the check reports SK15-UNSUPPORTED-TOOL.
  • A project Admin can add links to Asana, with notes, under Connections and bind them to the steps that use them. The agent reads them with list_connections.
  • The agent can report the tools and plugins it ran with, including its Asana connection, with report_configuration.
  • The agent submits links to its work in Asana as the step's outputs. People review them, and sign-off stays with the people your workflow names.

What your agent can do in Asana

  • Find tasks from a plain request, such as the incomplete tasks due this week.
  • Create a task in a project, assign it to a teammate and review its details.
  • List the sections of a project, add tasks to it or create a new project.
  • Check the status of a project or portfolio to report progress.

Set up

  1. Connect your agent to Kiwi

Add Kiwi's hosted MCP server, https://kiwiflow.io/mcp, to your coding agent.

  2. Connect your agent to Asana

Add the Asana MCP server to your agent with this URL. The credentials stay with your agent.

    https://mcp.asana.com/v2/mcp
  3. Example skill

Publish instructions like these as a workflow skill that lists Asana among its required tools.

Read the Asana task and project named in the run's inputs.
Do the work the task describes.
Add a follow-up task to the same project for anything outside its scope, and
assign it to the project owner named in the assignment.
Submit the task URL and any follow-up task URLs as the step's outputs.
If you cannot open the project in Asana, call report_blocker with the reason.
