Kiwi

Kiwi for ClickUp

Have the agent on a Kiwi step update its ClickUp task, log its time and comment on progress, through ClickUp's MCP server.

  • Your agent works in ClickUp through its own connection. Kiwi does not call ClickUp and never holds its credentials.
  • A workflow skill can list ClickUp among the tools it requires. When you supply your agent's available tools to a skill check and ClickUp is not among them, the check reports SK15-UNSUPPORTED-TOOL.
  • A project Admin can add links to ClickUp, with notes, under Connections and bind them to the steps that use them. The agent reads them with list_connections.
  • The agent can report the tools and plugins it ran with, including its ClickUp connection, with report_configuration.
  • The agent submits links to its work in ClickUp as the step's outputs. People review them, and sign-off stays with the people your workflow names.

What your agent can do in ClickUp

  • Search the Workspace for tasks, Lists, Folders and Docs, or filter tasks by type or tag.
  • Read a task by its ID, change its status, assignees or due date, and set its Custom Fields.
  • Read a task's comments and threaded replies, and add a comment that @mentions a teammate.
  • Link two tasks, or record that one task is blocked by another.
  • Log time against a task, or start and stop a timer.

Set up

  1. Connect your agent to Kiwi

Add Kiwi's hosted MCP server, https://kiwiflow.io/mcp, to your coding agent.

  2. Connect your agent to ClickUp

Add the ClickUp MCP server to your agent with this URL. The credentials stay with your agent.

    https://mcp.clickup.com/mcp
  3. Example skill

Publish instructions like these as a workflow skill that lists ClickUp among its required tools.

Read the ClickUp task ID from the assignment and fetch the task.
Set the task's status to In Progress while you work on it.
Comment on the task with what changed and @mention its assigned owner.
Submit the task URL and the pull request link as the step's outputs.
Closing the task is for that owner.
If ClickUp returns RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, call report_blocker with retryAfter.
